Here's a work-around that MSN may not leave available for long. Just type in moneycentral.msn.com/stock_portfolio in your browser's address bar. Takes you directly to the old site. I guess it would be wise to print or write out all your data just in case the answer to the import issue is to enter everything in again, one by one.
How do I get to my Portfolio in the new MSN Money format?

2014-11-28T13:01:58+00:00 In September when MSN money made the transition & i lost all data i was little worried; Then thanks to this link - moneycentral.msn.com/stock_portfolio - i was able to get back all the data; Now it appears it is lost again; I checked on 11/27 & today 11/28 & i am unable to get this link working...
I have no idea what Microsoft is doing... They need to resurrect this link.
Does anyone else have any suggestions to get this link / data behind my accounts?
Thanks all
For many people, it's time to give up on MSN and find an alternative. As you read comments on this and other threads, you will note some of the many options. Yes, PM was great but it's OVER. Someone posted what I think is the logical explanation for what is going on: the old programs are not compatible with using touch screens and that is the direction MSN has decided to go. I have had that on a desktop computer; where they just stopped supporting their old program and I had to buy another computer that was loaded with Windows 8. It took me (literally) five minutes trying to figure how to turn the machine off the first time.
Do a search and find comparisons of the Home Pages and the Business applications. For my home page, I use "hChoo.com". It gives links to scores of sites with just one click and there is no news or other information on the page. If you want that type of information (such as MSN) you can get it with just one click. It's free and you just give your e-mail address to register. (YOU CAN STILL KEEP HOTMAIL OR WHATEVER E-MAIL YOU HAVE ON THIS SITE. YOU CAN KEEP ANYTHING AND GET THE LINK TO IT WITH JUST ONE CLICK IF YOU SET UP hCHOO PROPERLY.) Of course, you will see comparisons during your search of a dozen other Home Pages. Read the information and take your pick.
Do yourself a favor and print out your old financial information or write it with a pen and paper You need that back-up anyway. Then, you can enter it on the new (non-MSN) site that you find.
MSN could have allowed the existing users to remain in a parallel universe and had their new subscribers use the new system. They just don't want to.
No one is going to look out for you. Write down your financial information, as best you can, and make the move to something else TODAY!
Good Luck to you.

2014-12-08T21:00:06+00:00 More of a question than a response. Under the new MSN portfolio screen equivalent, can I still customize my portfolio to show return, dividends, total return and annualized return? I did not see that detail on the new system. Thanks in advance for any direction you can provide.
