Apple Mobile Device Driver not In Device Manager

So I tried Everything , and my apple mobile device driver (or any apple driver) isn't showing up under my device manager. I'ts under my services but not under my device manager. This is causing neither of my iphones to sync with the computer. Please tell me if there is anyway to manually install the driver, since I followed apple's support for if it was missing, and it didn't work. My iphone(s) are not even being recognized as a camera or in recovery mode. I also re installed like 80 times(following apples way of completely re installing it) and the driver is still not in the device manager. It's not my usb either since I have 3 usb's and neither of my iphone's will still not appear as a device in the device manager.

    I consistently had this problem over the last year.  I eventually switched to an android phone so I didn't have to deal w/ itunes anymore.  However, my wife just got me an ipad so now I'm back to this issue again.  There was a procedure I used to do to remedy this and after searching for a half an hour, I haven't found it, but it jogged my memory enough to muddle through it.

    This procedure is if Apple Mobile Device Driver doesn't show up in Device Manager and your Apple device does not show up in itunes, but does show up in devices and printers.

    For windows 7:

    1. open devices and printers.
    2. Right mouse click Ipad (or iphone) icon and select properties.
    3. Select properties on the hardware tab.
    4. Select change settings.
    5. Select driver tab and click on update driver.
    6. Select browse my computer.
    7. Click browse button and find C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support folder.
    8. Click next and it'll install the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver.

    After this, it should show up in itunes.  Unfortunately, I have to do this every time I want to sync to itunes.  Hopefully, this save someone else my grief.

    This actually worked.  And it worked in Windows 8.

    Please, people, THIS is the solution.  Forget all the advice given on the prior 3 pages.  Thank you very much, nak74!

    I did all the steps you proposed, but nothing helped, although apple service worked very hard to help me, without success.

    Maybe you all are looking at the wrong edge. Please look first if the programm Apple mobile device is properly installed on your case. Inmay case it was not and cannot. Why? Don't know. Everytime when I reinstalled itunes, there was a roll back of that part(Amd), whether the other parts went through. And at the end, I was always i formed, that everything (iTunes) was properly installed, what indeed it was not. 

    I am pretty sure that that has to do with the security structure of windows 8, which makes it difficult for a not experienced User like me the Aplle Mobile device part with the driver into the folder "common...".
