Apple Mobile Device Driver not In Device Manager

So I tried Everything , and my apple mobile device driver (or any apple driver) isn't showing up under my device manager. I'ts under my services but not under my device manager. This is causing neither of my iphones to sync with the computer. Please tell me if there is anyway to manually install the driver, since I followed apple's support for if it was missing, and it didn't work. My iphone(s) are not even being recognized as a camera or in recovery mode. I also re installed like 80 times(following apples way of completely re installing it) and the driver is still not in the device manager. It's not my usb either since I have 3 usb's and neither of my iphone's will still not appear as a device in the device manager.

    Windows 10 or iTunes won't recognise my iPad. In Device Manager the iPad appears under "Portable Devices" as "Apple iPad". The Driver Date is 21/06/2006 and version 10.0.10586.0

    When I click on Update Driver it informs me that this driver is the most up-to-date it can find on the internet and my PC. I doubt that is true? I have seen versions dated 2012 but the source is not either MS or Apple so I am reluctant to touch them. Can you tell me how and where I can force my PC to upload an updated version from either MS or Apple, please?

    The iPad connects successfully to the same version of iTunes and using the same cable on my other PC with Windows 8.

    Actually, never mind all that, this post on another site nails it exactly. Try:

    It will also work on windows 7. In case the link is broken what you do is:

    1. Open devices and printers, you should see the ipod in 'Unspecified' if it isn't there check the connecting lead is supported.
    2. Right click and select properties, then hardware tab, properties again, then general tab, Change settings (blue/yellow shield thingy)
    3. Next popup, select Driver tab and update driver
    4. Select Browse my computer for driver software and navigate to:

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers. If you don’t have this folder, check in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers.

    Fantastic! Thank god for support communities, and thanks to Mitch Bartlett for posting the solution.

    This worked for me too. (After trying all the other methods suggested.)

    However, next time I plugged the phone into the same USB port, I had to do it again! How can I make it 'remember' the correct driver?

    ***** SOLVED *****

    Follow the instructions to start and stop the service

    Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service (AMDS)

    1. Close iTunes and disconnect the iPhone, ipad, or iPod touch.
    2. Click the Windows Start button.
    3. In the Start Search field type.
    4. In the Programs section of the search results, Click "Services".
    5. Select Apple Mobile Device and click Stop the service as shown below.
    6. After the service has stopped, clickStart the service.
    7. After the Apple Mobile Device service has started again, open iTunes and connect the device.

    THAN

    DRUM ROLL

    You must use a real Apple Cable not a fake one, that solved the problem! If you are using an aftermarket cable somehow itunes knows and won't connect the phone. 

    There you have it!

    I think I love you!!!  this worked... the driver was safely hidden in the first directory given, I am now busily moving music onto my phone. thank you!

    I don't even have it under services. it does not exist on this computer.   every other driver in the known universe we can download and install.  but not this.
