Awesome, thank you!
Flight Sim X will not work on Windows 8.1
I have the official release of 8.1 now, downloaded last night and FSX still does not work.
I can get through the menus but when I click to fly now, it drops me back to the desktop and gives me a fatal error.
I have tried:
1. A system restore back to windows 8, followed by the 8.1 upgrade.
2. Fresh install of FSX with no add-ons
3. Tried 'run as admin' and all different compatibility modes.
It still does not work...FS2004 works great. FSX did work in Windows 8.0 fine.
This needs to be fixed, otherwise Microsoft will have killed FSX.

2013-12-08T02:12:05+00:00 Still a no go for me. A shame really. The best flightsim ever, and it is foiled by the company that created it.
I know this is an old thread, but has ANYONE other than one person above actually solved this issue?
Thanks.
