Error Code 80073712 Windows update Win 8.1 x64

Ok so here are the system specs

After the last update and restart. I am unable to use Windows update.

I have tried the troubleshooting steps but the problem still exists.

SFC returns no problem at all.

Problem occurring for updates KB2936068 and KB2919355

Using their standalone installer isn't working either.

Hi Jaxx,

Microsoft has issued a fix for your error: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2969339

After you install it, the rest of the updates should download automatically.

    I am aware of the link and the issue which is why I asked the question. I checked my version PRIOR TO being unable to install the update and it was not the new version. AFTER the update was installed the new version appeared.

    Unfortunately, it's a silent installation so you won't actually see anything appear on screen.

    But I don't recall anything out of the ordinary happening when the previous update to 17031 took place on 22-02-2014 (in my particular case) so I don't think it has anything to do with the Patch Tuesday rounds.

    I already did run the Fix it.

    This is the result.

    And the file is still stuck on the old version.
