Error Code 80073712 Windows update Win 8.1 x64

Ok so here are the system specs

After the last update and restart. I am unable to use Windows update.

I have tried the troubleshooting steps but the problem still exists.

SFC returns no problem at all.

Problem occurring for updates KB2936068 and KB2919355

Using their standalone installer isn't working either.

Hi Jaxx,

Microsoft has issued a fix for your error: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2969339

After you install it, the rest of the updates should download automatically.

    And here is the DISM result

    I wonder what  99.1%  of  AnalyzeComponentStore  means?  It gave up just as things got interesting?  I was hoping there would be a bit more detail.   Better clues.  ; ]

    Can you try something, just for comparison purposes?  I got this idea from the other thread:

    PS C:\windows\WinSxS> dir -Filter "amd64*_31bf3856ad364e35_6.3.9600.*" -Name Measure-Object<br><br><br> <br><br>Count    : 8583

    I don't know if it means anything or can take us anywhere.

    Windows Defender is disabled.

    other updates seem to be installing fine.

    The only thing that seems to be succeeding are MRT updates (no Defender updates?).  IOW your component store may be corrupt.   What does  CheckHealth  show?   Then if necessary  ScanHealth  and  AnalyzeComponentStore.

    I have already tried that.

    This is what I just did as I read in another thread.

    Uninstall Customization software(stardock fences)

    Uninstall virtual drive software.

    Reboot.

    Disable antivirus.

    Disable start up items and do a clean boot.

    Try installing using the standalone package.

    This didn't work either.
