Error Code 80073712 Windows update Win 8.1 x64

Ok so here are the system specs

After the last update and restart. I am unable to use Windows update.

I have tried the troubleshooting steps but the problem still exists.

SFC returns no problem at all.

Problem occurring for updates KB2936068 and KB2919355

Using their standalone installer isn't working either.

Hi Jaxx,

Microsoft has issued a fix for your error: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2969339

After you install it, the rest of the updates should download automatically.

    And I really do appreciate your help.

    On the other hand, I was going to try and uninstall some customisation softwares as I read somewhere that it can block the installation.

    I'm glad you updated me on the new info.

    Hi Bob,

    I know what running a recovery is like and would hate for Jaxx to have to go through all that when it may not be necessary anymore.

    I hope the message reaches him in time anyway.

    Just returned from our place in Montauk and have read many of the emails. I haven't tried any of the new fixes yet (BITS, etc.) and haven't reset the PC. I am eagerly awaiting the "fix" from MS and hope that it works. Thank you very much for the heads up and all of your other emails, you seem like a very concerned user.
