Service registration is missing or corrupt

From recently I can't update windows and I ran MS Fix it Center and it shows that service registration is missing or corrupt.

I am Getting the same error in windows insider version 10074, 

Service registration is missing or corrupt.

Unable to get windows update, And start button is also not working in this build...

Windows 8.1 also has errorService registration is missing or corrupt when start seach updates. proxy - absent, Bits - work, use WiFI with cellurar net. Every time has "You tune automatic update", but I do not this option, it do Microsoft with one last system update.  I do not want automatic update because it is big problem when you can not restore system with thous updates because You has notrestore point with automatic  update

1.       Which Fit-it are you referring to?

2.       Are you not able to install some specific updates?

You usually get this error while installing software updates. If Microsoft finds some problems in the digital signature of the update is when you usually get this error.

I have the same problem (service registration is missing or corrupt) on my Windows 7 professional system.

Updates are not running.

I can not install Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0 Full.

Could you please  help me out?

I had this issue, had to manually remove BITS and update client (even the registry) and re-install.
