From recently I can't update windows and I ran MS Fix it Center and it shows that service registration is missing or corrupt.

    Trying to get the Windows 10 download.

    Error 8007003 keeps occurring

    Ran Windows 7 update repair and was told that

    Service Registration is missing or corrupt

    also

    Windows Update error 0x80070057 (2015-08-06-T-10_49_07A)

    Answers here are seldom from MS, its a volunteer forum.

    I don't have an answer I'm sorry. Just wild guesses.

    I dis fix it somehow along the way, but I don't remember if I updated a failed update that didn't try to reload, or found a virus, or ran every trouble shooter I could. or maybe a system restore?
