From recently I can't update windows and I ran MS Fix it Center and it shows that service registration is missing or corrupt.

This worked for me. Open Administrator Command Prompt. Copy and paste the following command at the prompt:
dism /online /add-package /packagepath:C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\c4a1b8896ce9fbfea96c1ee6890d52a5\windows10.0-kb3122947-x64.cab
It should auto execute. If not, press enter and let it do it's thing.

This told me absolutely nothing. Just give me a fix! I have Windows 10 and this didn't address it at all.
No way my problem could be solved....
I had to re-install windows
