I tried doing that (made it look a little more like yours) but clicking "enable inheritance" just seemed to double up on all the permission entries. I left the "everyone" permission entry but changed it to "read" as I didn't like the idea of it having full control.
Didn't make a difference unfortunately.
I just want to check there are mentions about ensuring the screen resolution is higher than 1024 x 768 mine is 1366 x 768 which is the recommended. I presume that is higher than the recommended.

Not a good idea to change "Everyone" to Read only (and not Write / Execute etc.) because "Everyone" includes the Administrator group!
I'd advise you to change it back to what it was before if you can, but you might not be able to anymore if it's been set to Read only.
But if you're worried about Security, rest assured because Anonymous logon has been removed from the Everyone group since Windows 7.
1366 x 768 is higher than 1024 x 768, but right click the desktop and go to Screen Resolution. Then click the dropdown arrow to the right of "Resolution". Recommend will be at the top,
