Every time I attempt the reset for the store (Store and other apps routinely crash after the Win 8.1 update).  I receive the below error message:

All device drivers are up-to-date (and have not changed since when it did work)

Anti-Virus is the same as it was when everything worked (Norton AV)

I launched a command prompt with administrative rights and ran "wsreset.exe".  The screen flashes over to the store, then crashes back to the start screen.  When returning to the desktop, the following error is found:

I ran system file checker, with administrative rights, and it reported back with no issues:

Thanks.  This is what it says, there were a few more lines but they didn't fit on screen, if you need that info I can screenshot it again.

    Hi nadia,

It's just a standard rotary hardrive so you can go ahead and run CHKDSK /f /r

If it appears to hang at a certain percentage for several hours, it might indicate a failing drive, but don't interrupt the scan. It's pointless trying to interrupt the diags check anyway because it will just start again if you reboot.

    Hi nadia,

It's a good tool though, so give it time and hopefully it'll do its job properly.

But it sounds like that where the cause of the problem lies.

Fingers crossed.  I'll leave it running overnight and hopefully I'll wake up to a shiny, fully functioning laptop :)
