Default gateway not available windows 8.1

I've just upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 two days ago, and it is great. But I have a problem, my wireless network that I usually connect to is now Limited. I ran the network diagnostics and it says the "Default gateway is unavailable" How can I fix this?

all you have to do is to change your network adapter driver from "Broadcom 802.11n Natwork Adapter" to "Broadcom 802.11a Natwork Adapter" and your wifi will work properly.

below are the stepsto change network adapter driver.

i have Lenovo Z580

solution worked for me was...

1>open device manager

2>expand network adapters

3>double click on Broadcom 802.11a network Adapter (i.e open your wifi N/W adapter properties) 

(Nore:- you might have Broadcom 802.11n network Adapter than select that)

4>select driver tab n click on update driver...

5>select Browse my computer for driver

6>click on let me pic from list of device....

7>unchack show compatibale hardware

8> now from the manufacturer window select Broadcomand from the Network Adapter list select the the driver having name Broadcom 802.11a Network Adapter and re connect your wifi..

Notethat u have to select 802.11a by default it was 802.11n...

if still have problem try another driver from list any one of tham will defiantly work..

    I have been having the same issues since upgrading to windows 8.1

    I have to reset the wireless adapter several times an hour to connect to the internet wireless.

    I have installed all the windows 8.1 updates and still its not working, in fact it is worse now.

    In the command prompt I have ran ipconfig several times and I get my wireless working again for about 20 minutes before I have "Limited/ NO connection"

    I have searched the web and this a common problem with people who have upgraded to windows 8.1

    I connect via Intel(R) Wireless-N 7260

    I decided to go to the Intel website and search for a known issue. I down loaded a driver update for my intel.

    Thank you for your help. I fixed for my friend and also for my computer so that the connection doesn't show limited anymore.
