I have had this desktop set for about 4-6 months.
It works great. The only problem is that the letter "C" can not be capitalized with either the left or right shift key.
The only way that I can get a capital "C" is to use the CapsLock key, and then it will type a capital "C".
It does not appear to be a hardware issue, it almost acts like a software/firmware issue.
I am running Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit version.
I have switched this keyboard to a different computer with the same symptoms.
I would love to hear your thoughts.

I had the same problem.
Neither updating the software of removing the battery did work for me.
However, after a while I figured out that one of the function keys (F2) was tilted. I fixed that and now it works.
Actually you can reproduce the problem. Press down a function key and try typing. Everything works except for capital c.

Update: I did update the software but no change. Called Microsoft to get a replacement and had to pop the batteries out to get the product ID # to process the replacement. Would you believe once I did that and put them back in, it started working? Seriously, I used it all day with no issues.
I've had this keyboard for years. In fact, I'm on my second one. I also had the stuck C problem years ago. I was thrilled when I found out that it was a result of the stuck function key.
My advice to anyone with the keyboard is to keep it very clean. It needs to be thoroughly cleaned often. I take out the batteries; use canned air and a damp cloth, and try to do a really through job. I pay particular attention to the function keys as they do get stuck.
It also helps to keep an eye on the little switch in the upper right corner of the keyboard that switches the function keys form the blue to white functions. Sometimes that gets toggled when you aren't watching. (So key commands in say your word processing program don't work.)
My only real complains about this keyboard is that it's easy to hit control on the left side when you need Shift and I need to think about holding down Shift to get caps. That may be due to my small, weak hands or poor typing skills though.
It does seem annoying that I'm still reading about people who've spent a lot of time and frustration on the stuck cap issue after all these years. I recall how annoying it was and how long it took me to find an answer. Given that it remains an issue, I suppose it's hard for Microsoft to correct. But I think it would be a good idea to put something in the start guide with the keyboard warning users that it needs to be cleaned regularly. Most of us have experience with keyboards that work for years even when almost crusted over with dirt, grime, and grease. This keyboard really is a bit of a prima donna as keyboards go. Warning users of this up front could save a lot of grief.

it is scandalous that Microsoft has not addressed this problem with what is one of their flagship products.
A refund or replacement should have been offered to customers with this product long ago.
How long does it take for a massive corporation like Microsoft to correct a simple engineering fault like?
(the issue is mechanical after all) They just do not care.
It is a real shame because if they would improve the quality of the keypads, this keyboard would be the best in the market.
Let's see what they do...
You're not the only ones either - I got this keyboard a few weeks ago and at first thought I must be lifting off the shift key as I sometimes ended up with "SELEcT" in my SQL queries (I work with SQL a lot) but spent some time carefully testing everything and all of my function keys are fine. Everything's fine, in fact, except that when typing quickly I sometimes get stray lower-case letters if I'm capitalising by holding Shift. It's really annoying and slows me down when programming too.
I'll be in touch with Microsoft about this and seeing if I can change the keyboard for another design. I love the look and feel of this keyboard, but it's slowing me down at work and I can't deal with that. Dropped inputs are an absolute deal breaker and frankly, I wouldn't have bought this if I know about this issue ahead of time.
