Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard - Capital "C" not working.

I have had this desktop set for about 4-6 months.

It works great. The only problem is that the letter "C" can not be capitalized with either the left or right shift key.

The only way that I can get a capital "C" is to use the CapsLock key, and then it will type a capital "C".

It does not appear to be a hardware issue, it almost acts like a software/firmware issue.

I am running Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit version.

I have switched this keyboard to a different computer with the same symptoms.

I would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks for your time.

Hi,

I had the same problem.

Neither updating the software of removing the battery did work for me.

However, after a while I figured out that one of the function keys (F2) was tilted. I fixed that and now it works.

Actually you can reproduce the problem. Press down a function key and try typing. Everything works except for capital c.

Hope that helps

Best

Konstantin

Update: I did update the software but no change. Called Microsoft to get a replacement and had to pop the batteries out to get the product ID # to process the replacement. Would you believe once I did that and put them back in, it started working? Seriously, I used it all day with no issues.

I have to also mention that I am absolutely in love with this keyboard. I had all the previous version of the Natural Keyboard, and have always been happy with them. However, the older ones were very loud. So loud that one of my colleagues actually told me to please go sit somewhere else. Then I saw this keyboard in the shops, and noticed that it types great and is much more quiet. Also it takes a lot less desk space. So I purchased it, and made everyone happy, including myself. :)

With the next iteration, don't change the design. Please! Change everything but the design! I love it! And it does work. I have an RSI in my wrist, and my tendons get irritated within 5 minutes of typing on a regular keyboard. With this keyboard, I can go the whole day and not have any problems.

On the other hand: the design of the mouse is completely **** for me. It gives me RSI within 10 seconds. It's far too high, and it presses the bones in my hand in such a way that my tendinitis is triggered within seconds. Make the mouse half the current height, and make it so that I can hold it with my pinky and thumb, while being able to keep my wrist in a rested position. I think all that's necessary is to cut the height of the current mouse in half.

Actually, I'm using my keyboard on a Mac, and am using a magic mouse with it. The magic mouse is great. Just one nag: when I hold it with my pinky, ring-finger and thumb, sometimes my fingers unwantedly touch the touch-sensitive top, and swipes and presses will not be correctly recognized until I shift my hand a little. I'm sure the design of the magic mouse can be improved on.

By the way: I'm not a weakling, crying about a little pain in the wrist. It's just that I've been typing on regular straight keyboards for over 30 years, and that has obviously taken it's toll. This keyboard really DOES help!
