USB port malfunctioning, always says "USB Device not recognized"

I actually don't have a "Write-Caching" option. 

And yes I did use that tool. Here is what I see:

Language packs...just the default I think.

It might have been SWUpdate, but usually if it fails once, it just gives up. I usually give up too because it takes too long lol.

It literally won't let me ask the question. When I click on it, it asks me to create a profile. However, no matter how many times I press "Continue", the webpage just sits there. I've refreshed the page like 30 times.  The cancel button works but not the continue button.

TechNet hasn't gotten back yet but I was looking through it last night and I noticed this error repeating a few times

2014-07-18 13:43:40, Info                  CBS    Failed to internally open package. [HRESULT = 0x800f0805- CBS_E_INVALID_PACKAGE]

It means The package is not valid. Only ones from Microsoft can be installed. But it doesn't say what package it is referring to

There is another log   - c:\WindowsUpdate.log  -  Search in that log for the word FATEL it should like this 2006-08-28 09:17:03:927 1100 e00 Handler FATAL: CBS called Error with 0x800f081e if you have any post it here or you can just post the whole log in onedrive.

I would look at windows update to see if any updates are missing. You may want to make a systems image or you system using File History > Create System image

Then Make sure you have recovery media. Once you have all your data and a copy of your system try uninstalling the major updates to windows and the reinstall it. Pretty sure it is kb2919355

If you have windows 8.1 recovery media I would try a refresh your pc http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-pc

Have you seen the tool mentioned in the first link?  Can you use at all?

It isn't a must. Did they say anything about how to get new RAM under Warrenty?

It is funny that they said that because if they send you new ram the ask you if you want to put it in. But every company is different.

While I do the CBS logs can you View reliability history and see what it looks like?

Do you have and language packs installed?

I read the CBS.log and it looked like it had a update started by user many times in the same time stamp, all the way down to the second. Any clue why?

Did you post a question on TechNet? I asked one for you regarding the cbs.log because there are some things I need to understand about reading them anyway.
