Have you tried right-clicking on the shortcut to the program, or the .exe, and selecting the "Run As Administrator" option?  Do so even if your user is an Admin.

c0000005 is a buffer overrun. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffer_overflow. I don't know how to explain it without giving you a headache. It basically means something tried to access memory that it wasn't supposed to. Sometimes a bug and sometimes a virus. The Virus will try and overwrite good memory with their evil data in an effort to sneak in. I legitimate program can do this if there is a bug in it but either way the data execution protection will see it and stop it just incase it is a virus. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc738483(WS.10).aspx 

So don't panic it doesn't mean there is a virus. But it does mean you should run some scans just in case. If it is a free game and you don't trust I would double check it.

You can run dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth To open the elevated cmd prompt use windows key + x > Command Prompt Admin

Drivers are a cause of this. So make sure the are all updated which they should be. The graphics driver is the first one to look at. If it is a game and doesn't have any high graphics requirements you can disable the graphics adapter in device manager and use the Basic Display Adapter to see if the issue stops. If it does then it has to do with he graphics card drivers most likely.

Did you get a crash when it happened? If you did you can start a new thread and upload the mini dump files to a file sharing site and post the link. I can read it but If it isn't obvious I will never find it :)

No worries, I fixed the problem :) I went through a ton of stuff and then plugged it into a different USB port and it worked.

How are you trying to connect? The windows network UI or the netgear wizard. If you look in device manager and in Networking does the device show up? Windows key + x > networking see if there are multiple wireless adapters and disable the extra one if there is another active wireless. There should be a icon that shows device status in the netfear tools or on the desktops
