Blank Screen after Installing Windows 8.1?

I installed Windows 8.1 earlier today, and the process finished without any trouble. However, a few minutes after reloading, Windows forced me to log off. When I logged back on, there was only a blank screen with a cursor. I activated task manager and a warning appeared stating, "?CreateRect@Value@DirectUI@@SAPEAV12@HHHH@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Windows\System32\Windows.UI.Immersive.dll".

I've ran sfc scannow several times, and after viewing the log file each time it says it's repairing corrupt files "Windows.UI.Immersive.dll", "ActionCenterCPL.dll", "slmgr.vbs", "ActionCenter.dll.mui", and "slwga.dll" from store.

Each time after running the scan, the computer will repeat the same process: it will work normally for a few minutes (one or two), and then force me to log out once again with the blank screen greeting me again if I log back in.

I've tried uninstalling all of my drivers, my antivirus program, and a few other programs, yet the problem has persisted each time. Does anyone have any idea how this could be fixed? "Windows.UI.Immersive.dll" seems to be appearing a lot, but I'm not familiar with its function and how the installation could be affected by it.

That was the first thing I thought of (I installed Classic Shell), however after uninstalling it I still have the same problem. Looking up online too, there seems to be a minimal incompatibility issue with Classic Shell; other people still had everything working. Glad it worked for you though!

if you had a program to have the start button back uninstall it

i solved opening the control panel from the taskmanager and unistall from here. All became normal after that.

I to am having a similar problem after installing windows 8.1 from the Microsoft Store office. Approximately 5minutes or less my computer screen went blank I tried restarting it and and the screen is still blank nothing at all Is happening(you can't see anything on the screen) seems as if it is having booting issues) my laptop is a gateway NV53 and athlon 2 x2 M300. I'm a college student and need a fix ASAP

I am having a similar problem after a successful upgrade of windows 8 to 8.1

Here is my problem. I am running a Lenovo Lynx.

When the computer boots it seems as it get stuck into a loop where the 'windows explorer' is trying to start with no success. I can access everything on my hard drive. BUT my task bar is not displaying, the desktop only shows the cursor (no icons, background, clicking, etc) and I can't access live tiles.

Any help would be great.

UPDATE: booting into safe mode returns my desktop and windows explorer back to normal. Now I guess it is just a matter to isolate the issue. Any suggestions? I tried disabling everything from normal start up, but no luck.

having the total same issue tried installing and reinstalling graphic driver, sfc scannow fixed the issue for awhile then i got force logout then i login the same issue reappear...please help fixing this i dont feel like doing fresh install ...

my specs are :
