Determining Motheboard and properly updating BIOS?

I'm having trouble trying to determine exactly what motherboard I have and what BIOS update I need for it.  I have determined that my current configuration is:

FOXCONN 2AB1 Motherboard

AMD 785G Chipset

AMD SB700 Southbridge

American Megatrends Inc BIOS

Version 6.05 January 18th 2011

BTW I have a Windows 7 Ultimate HP Pavilion p6720f Desktop PC.

I don't really understand where to go to find the proper BIOS update, I have tried both the FOXCONN and AMI websites with no luck.  The HP website makes no sense, when I look at BIOS updates listed under my computer, two different ones are listed.  Neither of them sounds at all like my motherboard or current BIOS.  They are called H-RS880-UATX Motherboard BIOS Update and N-Alvorix-RS880 Motherboard BIOS Update.  How in the world do I know what BIOS update I need to install?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I feel like contacting HP to update my BIOS is a little bit of overkill, isn't their a reliable way to find the correct update online and do it yourself?

I suggested contacting HP support since determining what BIOS update is required has not been possible.

They should be able to point to which update is required for your computer.

You should be able to download all 6 of my dump files from my public OneDrive here:

I was unable as you can see from dump output, to determine what your motherboard model is, but i can say that your current issue is probably not connected to bios.

    1: kd> ! sysinfo smbios

sysinfo: could not find necessary interfaces.

sysinfo: note that mssmbios.sys must be loaded (XPSP2+).

That being said, i took a look at your system information file, specifically the error reporting section, and there is no doubt as to what is generating almost all the recent errors and possibly the crashes. Below is a sample and i suspect you have probably seen this.

There are a lot of these and that leads me to believe that faulting application is playing a big part in you recent problems.

All I can recommend at this point is, to try removing the above listed drivers and run the  usual recommended hardware stress tests if the situation does not improve.

Called HP this morning, it turns out the two BIOS update they have listed on their website are actually updates for the same motherboard even though the motherboard specified for each update seems different.

I installed the latest update.  Thanks for the help.

Thanks for looking into the dump files for me, it looks like there are a lot of things that I have to troubleshoot before I can narrow down the problem.  I am rather busy this week with university midterms, so I will do the troubleshooting when I can and hopefully post back here within a week.

    Thanks again.
