Determining Motheboard and properly updating BIOS?

I'm having trouble trying to determine exactly what motherboard I have and what BIOS update I need for it.  I have determined that my current configuration is:

FOXCONN 2AB1 Motherboard

AMD 785G Chipset

AMD SB700 Southbridge

American Megatrends Inc BIOS

Version 6.05 January 18th 2011

BTW I have a Windows 7 Ultimate HP Pavilion p6720f Desktop PC.

I don't really understand where to go to find the proper BIOS update, I have tried both the FOXCONN and AMI websites with no luck.  The HP website makes no sense, when I look at BIOS updates listed under my computer, two different ones are listed.  Neither of them sounds at all like my motherboard or current BIOS.  They are called H-RS880-UATX Motherboard BIOS Update and N-Alvorix-RS880 Motherboard BIOS Update.  How in the world do I know what BIOS update I need to install?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I feel like contacting HP to update my BIOS is a little bit of overkill, isn't their a reliable way to find the correct update online and do it yourself?

I suggested contacting HP support since determining what BIOS update is required has not been possible.

They should be able to point to which update is required for your computer.

If thats what you suggest, thats what I will try.  I always post to the forums here before calling customer service because from experience, I get much better help here.  My concern is that I will call HP and tell them the exact same information I have provided here, and if people here cant help me find out what BIOS update my motherboard needs, then someone on the phone will have just as much trouble.

I understand where you are coming from but HP built the PC. They should know.

If an error is made in updating the BIOS it could make your PC unusable.

I can't open 7zip dump files, but if I could,  I would be able to tell from the crash  dump (depending on whether or not certain drivers were loaded or not) what the model your motherboard is. Use windows 7 native zip utility and I will give it a shot.

I am completely aware of how careful I need to be in updating my BIOS, which is why I posted here.  I will call HP and post back here with the results.

    Thanks for the advice.
