Determining Motheboard and properly updating BIOS?

I'm having trouble trying to determine exactly what motherboard I have and what BIOS update I need for it. I have determined that my current configuration is:

FOXCONN 2AB1 Motherboard

AMD 785G Chipset

AMD SB700 Southbridge

American Megatrends Inc BIOS

Version 6.05 January 18th 2011

BTW I have a Windows 7 Ultimate HP Pavilion p6720f Desktop PC.

I don't really understand where to go to find the proper BIOS update, I have tried both the FOXCONN and AMI websites with no luck. The HP website makes no sense, when I look at BIOS updates listed under my computer, two different ones are listed. Neither of them sounds at all like my motherboard or current BIOS. They are called H-RS880-UATX Motherboard BIOS Update and N-Alvorix-RS880 Motherboard BIOS Update. How in the world do I know what BIOS update I need to install?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I feel like contacting HP to update my BIOS is a little bit of overkill, isn't their a reliable way to find the correct update online and do it yourself?

I suggested contacting HP support since determining what BIOS update is required has not been possible.

They should be able to point to which update is required for your computer.

I still cannot run the computer on the GTX 650. I have however, through troubleshooting with other computers, determined that there is nothing wrong with the GPU. I am now in the process of checking individual hardware components in my computer.

Could you briefly explain the RAM situation in more detail? Of the 5 categories shown by Resource Monitor, which should I be worried about and why?

And how would restarting my computer more frequently help with the RAM situation?

What happened to the GTX 650? The graphics subscore is a depressing figure when compared to the other results.

If Resource Monitor continues to show results like this you should add RAM or restart your computer more frequently.

I restarted the computer no less than 2 days ago for some updates. I am about to install a new mouse driver and will restart today for that.

Your statement is not really true. The report reveals that chkdsk recovered two file fragments, and found free space marked as allocated. The full implication of what this discovery means are not clear. Chkdsk has made repairs but you do not know what caused the problem and whether whatever caused the problem will cause it to happen again. You will need to monitor the drive, checking at intervals to see whether it happens again.

In Windows 7 use Ctrl+Shift+Esc rather than Ctrl+Alt+Del. It gets you to Task Manager quicker. Select Task Manager, the Performance tab, Resource Monitor, and Memory tab. What are the figures for Hardware Reserved, In Use, Modified, Standby and Free?

How long is it since the computer was restarted?

Please select Start, Control Panel, Performance Information and Tools. What is the Subscore for each of the five components?
