Determining Motheboard and properly updating BIOS?

I'm having trouble trying to determine exactly what motherboard I have and what BIOS update I need for it.  I have determined that my current configuration is:

FOXCONN 2AB1 Motherboard

AMD 785G Chipset

AMD SB700 Southbridge

American Megatrends Inc BIOS

Version 6.05 January 18th 2011

BTW I have a Windows 7 Ultimate HP Pavilion p6720f Desktop PC.

I don't really understand where to go to find the proper BIOS update, I have tried both the FOXCONN and AMI websites with no luck.  The HP website makes no sense, when I look at BIOS updates listed under my computer, two different ones are listed.  Neither of them sounds at all like my motherboard or current BIOS.  They are called H-RS880-UATX Motherboard BIOS Update and N-Alvorix-RS880 Motherboard BIOS Update.  How in the world do I know what BIOS update I need to install?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I feel like contacting HP to update my BIOS is a little bit of overkill, isn't their a reliable way to find the correct update online and do it yourself?

I suggested contacting HP support since determining what BIOS update is required has not been possible.

They should be able to point to which update is required for your computer.

    Other than substitution, there really isn't any other good way to troubleshoot the supply.

    Sorry for sounding stupid, but what exactly does this mean?  I have had no problems with my USB slots at all and I use them for a bunch of devices.

    My power supply is a ThermalTak 500W ATX12V.  Yes I added the GTX 650, and in order to do that I had to add this power supply as well.  The power supply is now just over 3 years old.  It was suggested to me a couple of months ago that my problems could be because my power supply was going bad, but I was never able to confirm that.  I think this would make sense though, because it would explain why my computer can run perfectly on the integrated graphics but not on a more power intensive GPU.

    Short of testing my PC with a different power supply, do you have any suggestions on how to determine if the power supply is good or not?
