My phone (Lumia 720) is up to date but I cant instal whats app it says that I need to upgrade my phones software what can I do.?

     Hi. Welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions.

    It is because the WhatsApp app has been temporarily removed from the Windows Phone Store due to a recently discovered issue with how notifications are handled on Windows Phone 8.0 Update 3. We are in the process of working with WhatsApp to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and sorry for the inconvenience.

    Hi, hope someone can help, I recently purchased a Nokia 1020, but the whatsapp is giving issues, not sending and receiving msg timelessly. My wifes phone she can't even download whatsapp onto phone, says that not available for this device, yet it is also a 1020. Pls help ?thank you

    "The WhatsApp app has been temporarily removed from the Windows Phone Store due to a recently discovered issue with how notifications are handled on Windows Phone 8.0 Update 3 (Lumia Black on Nokia Lumia phones). We are in the process of working with WhatsApp to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and sorry for the inconvenience."

    So, you need to wait till the application is made available once again
