Windows 8.1 Pro Secure Build isnt configured correctly build 9600 watermark

I have recently downloaded the Windows 8.1 Pro version and I now have a "Secure Build isnt configured correctly build 9600" watermark on my desktop. I updated from windows 8 pro to 8.1. I tried to configure the bios to enable secure boot I cant find it anywhere on the BIOS screen. I have an ASUS X401a laptop. I also tried to edit the group policy that enable advanced boot options as well but nothing seems to work. Now my question is this fixable or will my laptop stop working after certain amount of time. This is very frustrating as I use this as my computer for school.  Also Windows 8 has been activated since I checked for the key and its fine.

    I have also experienced this message on Lenovo Win 8.1 Pro and Acer TravelMate.  I did not alter the Bios settings in setting up those 38 computers. 

    I do not wish to use SecureBoot and request that you fix this problem, Microsoft.

    It doesn't work and you know it.

    Dont blame other Hw produsers for your faulty SW/OS system!

    windows gets billions of  $$$$ from us and wee got to fix windows problems no

    i got a HP laptop  not a asus

    don't gif us your sappy updates if the wont work  if you cant fix it
