Hi
Did this several times, the watermark would be gone until next time I started the computer.
So it seems it reset the value every time you shut down.

I have recently downloaded the Windows 8.1 Pro version and I now have a "Secure Build isnt configured correctly build 9600" watermark on my desktop. I updated from windows 8 pro to 8.1. I tried to configure the bios to enable secure boot I cant find it anywhere on the BIOS screen. I have an ASUS X401a laptop. I also tried to edit the group policy that enable advanced boot options as well but nothing seems to work. Now my question is this fixable or will my laptop stop working after certain amount of time. This is very frustrating as I use this as my computer for school. Also Windows 8 has been activated since I checked for the key and its fine.

Did all that also updated to latest 407 bios, no good still did not have secure boot option in my bios.
Ended up getting mother board changed under warranty as it was a new computer.
All good now as I have a secure boot option in the bios.
Thanks Ray,
Since my notebook was brand new and I did not have a secure boot function in my bios, I took it back to Asus service and they replaced the mother board and now all is fine and yes I do have a secure boot option in my bios now..
A bit drastic for those who cannot do this.
ok so is this just a water mark? or is there an actual issue ? i run an asus cm6730 and i don't want to ruin my s#$% if you know what i mean lol.
Thank you very very much it worked a treat on my Toshiba Satellite C850D-11Q but you have got your right from your left mixed up move the cursor to the top right and then proceed as instructions.
