Flickr has changed there API and I'm not able to use Windows Photo Gallery to load to there site anymore. I've talked to flickr and they say it's cuz of there new API and that Windows Photo Gallery has to update before it will work again. Anyone know what to do?

Just found that Flickr's Web Uploader DOES retain the metadata that you add within Photo Gallery so until the upload feature in Photo Gallery is fixed, I for one will be using this. It's nowhere near as friendly but it does mean that I don't have to type in descriptions and tags for all my photos all over again.

”You’ve probably heard a lot about https and SSL lately. In fact, Yahoo has made a commitmentto enable SSL across all properties this year. For most people, SSL means a little green lock smiling at you in your browser, but SSL applies behind the scenes as well, and I want to tell you about a few SSL-related changes to the Flickr API.
As I wrote over on the Flickr code blog this week, we now have shiny new SSL endpoints for the entire Flickr API. SSL access has been possible for a long time, but you had to use a different subdomain. Now, every single server in our API cluster is tuned and ready to encrypt your data before it sends it out to you.
The new SSL endpoints for the Flickr API are listed in the code blog post, and all of the API documentation has been updated so that developers can start securing their apps right away.
So, what does this mean for you? That leads to the second important update: later this year we will transition API access to****SSL only. That means if you are an API developer, you will need to make sure your application is updated to access the API over https. For most, this will be a very simple change to the https protocol in a few configuration files.
