Flickr has changed there API and I'm not able to use Windows Photo Gallery to load to there site anymore. I've talked to flickr and they say it's cuz of there new API and that Windows Photo Gallery has to update before it will work again. Anyone know what to do?

Just found that Flickr's Web Uploader DOES retain the metadata that you add within Photo Gallery so until the upload feature in Photo Gallery is fixed, I for one will be using this. It's nowhere near as friendly but it does mean that I don't have to type in descriptions and tags for all my photos all over again.

We understand that you're (MS not Michelle!) just too lazy, that you don't give a flying fork about the people who use your product.
So Yahoo moved to SSL for the Flickr API, big deal. You could easily fix it, the only problem is your lack of will to lift your little finger to make a simple fix.
So, when will you announce that Microsoft Essentials are to be rebranded Microsoft Unsupported Non-Essentials?

I apologize for the delay in responding to this thread. We know how convenient to upload photos to Flickr through Windows Photo Gallery, but the recent changes lost its functionality to do so. This concern has been forwarded to the product group and we received a word that there will be no update for this. Therefore, we advise that you upload files directly to Flickr instead.

MSFT wonders why they can never get traction in any new consumer markets.
Call me crazy but it may have something to do with a fine history of killing / dropping support for services people have come to like.
Why would anyone in this thread ever try anything new Microsoft does, knowing that the attitude is "well, we can kill it anytime?"
Quite seriously the fix for this particular problem could not be more than a day's work for any of your programmers. When that is too expensive for a company the size of MSFT you're basically saying to everyone in this thread "we really don't care".
Precisely. The updates from Microsoft in this thread are hilarious. They chime in every 3 weeks to basically tell us they are not working on this issue. I have stopped using this product. If anyone besides Michelle at Microsoft is listening, this thread is a great example of how not to handle a problem.

WE WAITED 3 MONTHS TO HEAR THIS, BASICALLY SAYING "OH, WE'RE NOT GONNA DO THAT". DID ANYONE TRY, AT ALL, TO COME UP WITH A FIX? I THINK NOT. JUST DRAGGED IT OUT FOR A QUARTER OF A YEAR UNTIL IT "COOLED-DOWN". DON'T THANK US FOR UNDERSTANDING; THE LAST 3 MONTHS HAS SHOWN WE DON'T MATTER.
