Just found that Flickr's Web Uploader DOES retain the metadata that you add within Photo Gallery so until the upload feature in Photo Gallery is fixed, I for one will be using this. It's nowhere near as friendly but it does mean that I don't have to type in descriptions and tags for all my photos all over again.
Photo Gallery not working with Flickr
Flickr has changed there API and I'm not able to use Windows Photo Gallery to load to there site anymore. I've talked to flickr and they say it's cuz of there new API and that Windows Photo Gallery has to update before it will work again. Anyone know what to do?

2014-07-07T02:15:26+00:00 Paul, I just did 12 tries to authorize without success.
Microsoft tech also failed.

Of course they failed. But there are detailed instructions in Flickr's the code blog how to change the code to accept https.

2014-07-07T01:21:05+00:00 Yep, that's the one I started initially. But obviously Flickr isn't the cause. I have hopes we'll hear something this coming week from Microsoft.

2014-07-07T01:16:29+00:00 Surely you have all read what Chris Martin wrote on June 27: "Today's the Day!
(Disclaimer, this post is probably only interesting to API developers)
It's the day you've been preparing for, as of 10:00 PST this morning we will be switching the Flickr API to https-only access. We've had two blackouts, emailed all API key owners, and posted a bunch of info over on the code blog, so hopefully you're ready.
If you see any issues in your apps, the best place to let us know is over in the the Flickr API Yahoo group. We'll be watching closely throughout the transition.
If you use a 3rd party Flickr app and are having issues after today, the best thing to do is to contact the developer of the app or extension and point them at this forum post, the code blog, orthe Flickr API Yahoo group.
Thanks,

You can find on page 2 that I wrote to Vivien_ M about the code blog. Should think that they have looked into it. It seems to have detailed instructions to the API key owners. Repeated tries to authorise will be unsuccesful until Microsoft changes the code. With all the instructions I cannot see how that would be impossible.
