Just found that Flickr's Web Uploader DOES retain the metadata that you add within Photo Gallery so until the upload feature in Photo Gallery is fixed, I for one will be using this. It's nowhere near as friendly but it does mean that I don't have to type in descriptions and tags for all my photos all over again.
Photo Gallery not working with Flickr
Flickr has changed there API and I'm not able to use Windows Photo Gallery to load to there site anymore. I've talked to flickr and they say it's cuz of there new API and that Windows Photo Gallery has to update before it will work again. Anyone know what to do?

2014-07-06T20:50:46+00:00 Paul, thanks for this detail. Are you now able to upload your photos?
This July 7th I even had a Microsoft support tech trying to 'authorize' (numerous attempts). Though unsuccessful, I'm impressed at his efforts, and that he then reported it "up" to get action. I had stubbornly tried to 'authorize' numerous times.
I'm glad to see the recent posts that should add to our understanding of this "situation".
I can't seem to get the damn thing working today!
What I DO like about using Win Photo Gallery, is that I can get my raw files ('MS' version) through to Flickr!

I keep at the Complete the authorization to start publishing screen, and eventually, it accepts the authorization code from Flickr.
But it can take up to 5 or 6 tries.
Paul, thanks for this detail. Are you now able to upload your photos? I just did 12 attempts (entering a new authorization set of numbers each time), with no success. A Microsoft support tech tried (remotely) to 'authorize' (numerous attempts) on July 2nd, unsuccessfuly; he then reported it "up" to get action.
