Flickr has changed there API and I'm not able to use Windows Photo Gallery to load to there site anymore. I've talked to flickr and they say it's cuz of there new API and that Windows Photo Gallery has to update before it will work again. Anyone know what to do?

Just found that Flickr's Web Uploader DOES retain the metadata that you add within Photo Gallery so until the upload feature in Photo Gallery is fixed, I for one will be using this. It's nowhere near as friendly but it does mean that I don't have to type in descriptions and tags for all my photos all over again.
konabish, the whole has been a huge disappointment though not entirely unexpected, knowing the way companies ignore anything not giving them profit and in the light that the last update to the program was in 2011. I was just hoping as I had given them the link to the information about the fix and I could not believe that a huge company like them would not have anybody with the skill to accomplish it. I hope the program is not added to any new computers as it is defective.

I am really saddened that MS is abandoning Windows Photo Gallery development. I wrote of post (more of a plea) on this recently - Make Windows Photo Gallery Awesome

I agree, a disappointment, and we were needlessly strung-out for 3 months awaiting a positive response. It's obvious MSFT was just hoping it would go away if they stalled.
I understand that about the poster; I saw a need to draw attention for anyone 'new' here that MICROSOFT WILL NOT PROVIDE A FIX. I used the 'brightest' thing I already had. All my my previous comments leave no doubt that MSFT is responsible for the FAIL that brought all these Flickr users here.
I'm glad to see continuing comments here, to keep this active, so others can continue to see what's happened.

Microsoft has already replied they have Failed the Flickr users....
"...THERE WILL BE NO UPDATE..."
Now difficult to find, that reply is in Microsoft moderator Michelle Anne D.'s September 29 response.
We many users have been ignored and abandoned by Microsoft, and so far there have been
NO suggestions that offer a method as easy as this one was.
