Hi,
Memory.ZIP is empty.
And we do need the minidump to analyze.
Review the methods in the previous replies which should help.

My PC has BSOD'ed on me several times when I tell it to restart windows. It keeps giving the DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE error in the BSOD.
I have traced the problem back to NTOSKRNL.EXE. the address in the stack is ntoskrnl,exe+78a8a. both times windows crashed during during the shutdown phase of a windows restart.
Full error:
ntoskrnl.exe ntoskrnl.exe+78a8a fffff80003408000 fffff800039ed000 0x005e5000 0x521ea035 8/28/2013 5:13:25 PM Microsoft® Windows® Operating System NT Kernel & System 6.1.7601.18247 (win7sp1_gdr.130828-1532) Microsoft Corporation C:\windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
Bug Check Code: 0x1000009f
I am not sure why my system is BSOD'ing on me, much less why ntoskrnl.exe is causing it. I'm not running or doing anything strange on my machine. Just BIONC (Seti@Home), games and the occasional document. I have already run SFC, as well as chkdsk, and the checksur utility, but nothing was found wrong. I ran a full scan using MSE and Malwarebytes, and came up clean there too. I want to know if this error's cause lies in the hardware or if windows is just complaining because I have had it running fro so long with out a restart.
If someone wants to look at the minidump files made by my system, let me know and I will post them to my skydrive. when I examined the minidumps using bluescreenview, only ntoskrnl.exe was highlighted in red. I can discern no other cause of this problem.

A lot of water has passed under the bridge since we looked at your problems. We need updated information.
Please download and run Driver View and upload a copy of the report it produces to your OneDrive. To get a report on all drivers select Edit, Select All followed by File, Save Selected Items.
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/driverview.html
Please provide a copy of your System Information file. Type System Information in the Search Box above the start Button and press the ENTER key (alternative is Select Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Information). Select File, Export and give the file a name noting where it is located. Do not place the cursor within the body of the report before exporting the file. The system creates a new System Information file each time system information is accessed. You need to allow a minute or two for the file to be fully populated before exporting a copy. Please upload to your OneDrive, share with everyone and post a link here. Please say if the report has been obtained in safe mode. The request for a copy of this file is additional to answering the question about make and model.
Well, it finally happened again.... this time no bsod however. the windows interface was just really messed up and it was really difficult to initiate a restart or shutdown as a result. when I did restart, windows said windows was not shutdown properly last time. when I got logged in to windows, I was given a dialog message with a similar message. event viewer also reflected the error.
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000009f (0x0000000000000003, 0xfffffa8006d57a00, 0xfffff80000b9c518, 0xfffffa8013429e50). A dump was saved in: C:\windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 031014-25474-01.
bluescreenview once again points to ntoskrnl.exe as the culprit.
not sure how long I had the windows session going this time, but it was over 1 week. I use sleep mode or hibernate whenever I'm not using the computer (i.e. at night when I'm asleep)
I'm uploading the memory.dmp file to my SkyDrive now, link to follow soon
here is the link to the memory.dmp, it has been put in a standard .ZIP file to reduce it's size.

EA updated battlefield 1942 to be compatible with modern systems when they re-released it for free.
tribes: ascend has an update check performed each time before game is launched. if an update has been released, then it is automatically installed before I am allowed to load the game.
the same is true for combat arms.
all three games fully work as designed.
I do not own a Logitech g510 gaming keyboard. 'Logitech Gaming HID Device' is part of my Logitech G600 MMO gaming mouse.
My Logitech G600 MMO Gaming Mouse is an early version which does not support firmware upgrades. current versions of the G600 do support firmware upgrades however. I have owned mine long enough that Logitech would not provide support for the issue.
Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework was started already when I check it in services, but it was set to manual. I changed start up type to automatic as directed.
I was apart of the Tribes: Ascend closed beta, and that was in 2010, clearly after Windows 7 was released, for the upgrade advisor to say it is incompatible is ridiculous. and Combat Arms is even newer than Tribes: Ascend. I can understand BF:1942 being there as it was only updated and re-released back in October 2013, but for the other two games the upgrade advisor report was off.
Anyway, awaiting instructions for the next step
I don't know why you want me to run the windows 7 upgrade advisor, since Windows 7 came with the laptop.
It is a simple way to get a report on hardware and software as to their compatibility with Windows 7. It does not give definitive answers. It does, however, provide pointers to possible problem areas.
Tribes: Ascend Hi-Rez Studios Update available We don't have compatibility information about this version of the program.

Click on the Start button and select Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services. Locate Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework in the list. Check that the StartUp type is Automatic. If it is not set to Automatic right click and select Properties, General tab. There is a box after StartUp type. The options are available on a drop down by clicking on the arrow down to the right of the box. Make the change and click on Apply and OK. Restart the computer and check whether it has started.
