KB2871997 update failure

Same problem everyone here is having... I get the errors when these updates try to install. And they keep trying to reinstall... every boot/reboot.

Microsoft really screwed the pooch on this one.  I'm just going to disable these.

Nice going Microsoft... how about you tests these on more than the developer's workstation before you launch them.

Same thing here.... finished a long day, was shutting down machine and I see that Windows is NOW set to auto install updates....something I never allowed to happen.   KB2871997 will not install.....Error Code 80070246

sfc /scannow created  a 187 KB file that mostly says its moving things and ignoring directories with multiple owners but after rebooting it went to 1,162 KB.

The System Readiness Tool created a 65KB file w/ the following summary:

Trying to run sfc /scannow after a reboot,  im told it can not perform the requested operation.

These three updates KB2931356, KB2871997 & KB2926765 will not install on my computer running Windows 7 Professional.  I am not going through all the hoops just to install these updates.  After reading all the posts on this issue it is best for this old retired teacher to hide these updates and wait for Microsoft to fix these and get them out of the mix of updates.  Never had trouble installing updates before.  I'm with rrcsjc - Don't know what onedrive is let alone how to get the report data and don't care to learn.

I have the logs but am unable to upload them into onedrive using your instructions and assorted other help links.  Get an error on the upload.  Maybe too much for this non techie retiree....

chkdsk/r was run. All other updates ran fine.

KB2871997 fails with 0x8007054F. Win 7 Pro SP1. Updates are done automatically with WSUS. So install was in a tight loop: install, reboot, fail, reinstall, fail

CMD> sfc /scannow did not find any integrity violations. Install still failed.

System update readiness logfile says "No errors detected." Installing Windows6.1-KB2871997-V2-X6.msu from safe mode failed with "Installer encounter an error: 0x8007043C This serverice cannot be started in Safe Mode."
