Windows 8.1 Install Error 0xC1900101-0x20017

I had this problem upgrading from windows 8 to the preview and was never able to install it. Now I just try with the final and same problem is happening.

Microsoft is really disappointing me. This is ridiculous

    Hallo;

    Issue was resolved by removing all other HDDs from PC and installing on sata connection set to AHCI.

    The problem was on an Precision T7610 when the HDD (SDD) was connected to the SAS controller.

    After connecting the drive to SATA0 it worked.

    looks like that windows 8.1 is not accepting inet onboard raids with SAS or Raids???

    Hey, i really need your help

    When i attempt to install Windows 8 on my PC it says

    "you can't install windows 8.1 because your processor doesn't support prefetchw"

    If that means: my CPU is too old to support thast OS,

    Can you please tell me or give me a link to a supportable Windows 8,

    I believe it supports some versions like: Windows 8 Corporate.

    But i want an English version.

    Help me.

    I tried most things that people here suggested and none were the problem with my Asus u43jc laptop. 

    Things that didn't work:

    Running msconfig and disabling all non Microsoft services

    Disabling wifi, ethernet drivers in device manager (I also disabled audio and logmein drivers)

    Installing the latest nvidia graphics drivers. 

    Installing all required and optional windows updates.

    Other things I didn't pursue: 

    1. I have a ssd and had various windows installation and other issues with it. 
    2. I didn't mess with any system devices in device manager.

    Just thought I'd share so others avoid wasting time.  I'm not gonna bother with 8.1 again until January, hopefully this nonsense has been fixed by then.

    I have the same laptop and facing the same issue:

    After installation, when rebooted, getting blue screen with disappointed smile and DRIVER_VIOLATION.

    Did you manage to find any solutions?

    I had this same error.

    I have a Hp ProBook.

    HP comes with a lot of security tools.

    One of those is HP drive encryption.

    When the upgrade starts, HP already had the drive decrypted, because the first steps runs from out Windows itself.

    When win 8.1 is ready, Windows had to restart to finish the upgrade.

    At this point, the HDD is encryped (HP driver didnt loadi yet) and hence Windows cant run the win 8.1 preboot,hence this error. 

    Disabling HP D.E. did the trick.

    (disconnect c drive in HP Security Client).

    Hp then starts with decoding the c drive.

    When this is finished, you can try win 8.1 upgrade again.

    wat een kut-update ; uren werk eraan besteed ! en dan uiteindelijk een Error - met geen enkele uitleg!

    Nu ben ik helemaal om ! Geef mij maar mijn Ipad-air !
