Windows 8.1 Install Error 0xC1900101-0x20017

I had this problem upgrading from windows 8 to the preview and was never able to install it. Now I just try with the final and same problem is happening.

Microsoft is really disappointing me. This is ridiculous

I'm really losing my faith in Microsoft really fast. For 30 years I have been installing and updating Microsoft programs and never heard of an issue that was discovered by so many people in the preview or beta and not fixed for the final.

What is the world is going on at Microsoft. Looks like Ballmer really have to go and bring someone who can control these people.

I just tried doing your suggestion, but its not longer allowing me to do either the refresh or reinstall of windows. Either option I click ends up giving me a message saying "Some files are missing. Your windows installation or recovery media will provide these files." I don't have any recovery media, I upgrade to 8 from Win7 via download.

I think I'm going to try uninstalling all the updates except for that one and then try to upgrade again.
