How to re-enable Bluetooth in PC Settings

I recently turned off my Bluetooth device by

1.       Opening PC Settings

2.       Selecting PC and devices and then Bluetooth.

3.       Changing the Manage Bluetooth devices switch to Off.

Now Bluetooth settings don’t even appear in PC Settings.  If I go to PC Settings, and then PC and devices, the Bluetooth settings have disappeared.

How can I turn my Bluetooth devices back on?

Hi,

This can happen if the Bluetooth device uses a Bluetooth 3.0 radio that is turned off by the manufacturer’s software.

If turning the Bluetooth device off causes your Bluetooth settings to disappear, follow these steps to re-enable your Bluetooth device:

1.     Open PC Settings

2.     Select Network, and then Airplane mode.

If your Bluetooth device was previously paired, there should be an Enable Bluetooth switch.  Switch it to On.

    HI -Active keys is definitely enabled in Bios.

    I tried installing the Active Keys driver again.

    There is some Fn Key functionality.

    e.g. The Flight mode can be turned on and off but only after several presses of the relevant key (f12 in this case)

    The same happens with the sound keys.

    So it would appear that there is some compatibility issue with Windows 10 maybe?

    I am glad that the Bluetooth is working.

    I appreciate your efforts.

    However, for Fn key issue, please check in BIOS if Fn key combination is disabled. If so, please enable it from BIOS.

    Hi Ratandeep

    Thank you for your continued support.

    HP had instructed me to get drivers for the laptop for Bluetooth from them - which as we know didn't work.

    So i went online, downloaded the drivers for the Manufacturer of the Bluetooth Device (Ralink) installed  and restarted and Hey, I have Bluetooth!!

    Thank you - working with you made me think outside the box  :o)

    Now i have to figure out what else isn't working apart from the Fn key which although isn't important is annoying the hell out me - i don't like it to beat me lol
