Although I have my computer set to notify me when there are updates before I install them, my computer automatically updated

Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.320. Do I need this update and why did it load into my computer before I selected. I have searched for some explanation as to what this program is but am unable to find anything. WHAT IS IT?

The link I posted was to a thread of yours which you abandoned 4 months ago. Best to take care of your own housekeeping before attempting to help others with theirs, my friend.

My reply was perfectly adequate and gave the poster a link to where he actually might find an answer to his concern.  I have as much right as anyone to respond.

Very serious issue here. Microsoft Windows Update Agent frankly caused to blockage to regular updates.

    I have 3 computers with Win7 Ultimate 64bit with SP1 are infected.

    I need urgent solution

The issue you are having isn't directly related to the Updater Agent.  Nonetheless there is an issue like you are describing.

Microsoft has nothing whatsoever to do with the DNS you use or the way your computer connects to the internet. Upgrading Windows Update Agent to v7.6.7600.320 did not cause your problem, whatever it is.

IN RE the Answer Desk: Once I've signed in to my Live ID (Microsoft account), www.answerdesk.com takes me to https://support.microsoft.com/answerdesk

Can you access this page? => http://answerdesk.microsoftstore.com

    IN RE updates: Is KB2976627, KB2976897, KB2993651, KB2918614, KB2978668, KB2937610, and/or KB2943357 listed in Installed Updates (not Update History)?

You knew exactly the problem he was having and where he could get an answer.  He assumed it was related to the Updater Agent when it is not.  Why didn't you just link him to the thread?
