Although I have my computer set to notify me when there are updates before I install them, my computer automatically updated

Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.320. Do I need this update and why did it load into my computer before I selected. I have searched for some explanation as to what this program is but am unable to find anything. WHAT IS IT?

How does your Win10-specific rant pertain to Windows Update Agent v7.6.7600.320?

PS: Did you ever "get rid of IE9?"

I do fear losing the WINX upgrades I did. One I did fir  a young buddy met the BSOD. I had the leeway of putting a WIN7  disc in and going through the LO0ooonnnngggg process of reconfiging the notebook in the FREE UPGRADE period.

NOW what will happen?[After the free upgrade period].

WILL  M$ really BRING FORTH a method to recofig all the WINX OS they have out their in the wild [ WHEN THEY GO BSOD]THROUGH THE UPGRADE PROCESS they endorsed for us?

Even if they gave free DLed BOOT DISCS many users do not understand the process of getting a disc OR have no CDROMDVDROM any more in lighter weight machines.

THIS IS ONLY IF YOU ALREADY HAD A RESERVE FOR WIN 10 ANYONE WHO DOES NOT ALREADY HAVE RESERVE ARE UP THE CREEK. I ALSO HAVE A COPY OF WINDOWS 7 THAT I HAD UPGRADED TO WIN 10 AND BACK AGAIN BUT AFTER THIS RECENT UPDADTE 7.7600.320 MY WIN 7 WILL NOT UPDATE ANYMORE BUT IT HAS RESERVE FOR WIN 10 AND THE ONLY UPDATE I CAN DO NOW IS UPGRADE BACK TO WIN 10 AGAIN. I HAVE ANOTHER HDD THAT DOES NOT HAVE RESERVE FOR WIN 10 AND NOW IT IS GARBAGE FOR UPDATES UNLESS THERE IS A FIX FOR THE UPDATE 7.6.7600.320 OR I BUY WINDOWS 10 UPGRADE FOR $140.00.  I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING POSSIBLE EVEN REINSTALLING MY WIN 7 ULTIMATE WITH SP1 AND AS SOON AS IT INSTALLS IT UPDATES TO 7.6.7600.320 AND WILL NOT UPDATE ANYMORE I TRIED TO RENINSTALL WIN 7 HOME PREMIUM WITHOUT SP1 AND IT WILL UPDATE UNTILL I INSTALL SP1 THEN AS SOON AS SP1 IS INSTALLED THE UPDATE 7.6.7600.320 INSTALL AND THE DISK THEN BECOMES USELESS AND THIS IS NOT A HDD PROBLEM I HAVE TRIED THIS ON MORE THAN ONE HDD  AND EVEN HAD MY DRIVES CHECKED FOR ERROR AND THERE ARE NO HDD ERRORS
