Updates KB2972216 and KB2894854 fail to install.

Hi there,

The subject, windows update fails to updates and KB2894854 and keep asking to them. What should I do?

Restoring from a 2 month old back up does not put your system in the clear. These things do not build up over night. You need to run Malwarebytes and ADW Cleaner on the restored system and upload log files on what has been removed. You can then see what further needs to be done.

I have managed to resolve the issue by myself! Yay!!!!

So, firstly, you was right.

After I rolled back to previous back up, it was fine except one thing - I still have Login delay :(((( , but I managed to install all updates (problem one included).

Suddenly, I realized one thing! The system backup that I was on has something different from the original system state, that is while I was using original system, I have deleted all folders and files in "Installer folder" (C:\Windows\Installer).

After realization of that, I was wondering: "What will happen if I just copy all folders from present system state(the one I rolled back on) to the last one(Original state)?" Good thing is before rollback to earlier backup I have made backup (sorry for tautology).

So, after 30 minutes, now I am using my original system. I copied all folders from earlier backup back to their original place(C:\Windows\Installer), restarted pc, started windows update and waited with my fingers crossed... Whola! KB2972216 and KB2894854 are successfully installed!

Also, I have installed Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and ADW Cleaner. Anti-Malware found nothing and ADW Cleaner Found a little bit. I wiped out almost all of it except Tencent folder (it is where QQ is a Chinese messenger, I need it) and something other folders.

After that I restart my computer again and... Well, it seems that the last problem for me is Login delay.

I will be very appreciated if you can help me resolve it.

The Autoruns report is a disaster area. On most computers you may find something up to 10 entries where File not found appears. I have seen up to 50 such entries but your report contain far more than 50! You can see this if you click the Everything tab and look for the rows highlighted in yellow.

I would normally suggest that you right click an item and delete it. This clears unhelpful reports appearing in Event Viewer, thereby making it possible to focus on the remaining errors. In your situation I am not sure what to suggest. You can delete the entries if you wish. Removing them will not harm your computer.

Please download and run ADWCleaner and upload a copy of the report produced to your OneDrive:

I suggest you take the precaution of creating a system restore point before running ADWCleaner, to guard against unforeseen consequences. Select Start, Control Panel, System, System Protection, and click the Create button.

I have input "Framework" into search in "Programs and Features" and I have found that there are only three entries that are related to Frame, they are:

Microsoft .Net Framework 4.5.1

Shared Add-in Support Update for Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 (KB908002)

Shared Add-in Extensibility Update for Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 (KB908002)

And another entry for ".net" search parameter:

GTk# for .Net 2.12.10

BSOD:

About BSODs, I am using eGPU (external Graphics Unit), that connected to my notebook through Expresscard port. Every time you power-off the eGPU without proper use of "safe ejection" you get BSOD. I have had some blackouts, be cause of which there were several BSODs.
