"Your computer is low on memory" when its clearly not

I use HD 4600 graphics.  I can confirm that the issue in question does exist under the following drivers: 3345, 3316, 3277, 3262.  I tried some of the 8.0 drivers that I could find as well.  Drivers 3272,3257 and 3186 cause WMC to have an all white welcome screen, so they were promptly removed.  I have 3107 installed right now and it exhibits the same issue as I have been describing.

The reason I mention this is the following.  In another thread about this same issue, people have had success fixing the issue by utilizing Intel HD driver 2875.  I cant find it or I would have tested it out myself.

Another user reports that 2884 from the Acer site also fixes the issue.

Do you face this issue only while playing any games? If so, do you get this error even when playing games other than arma 3?

 

This issue could be caused due to some incorrect settings. Sometimes, you might face such issues if there is a memory leak in one of the programs. I would suggest you to try these steps and check:

 

First, I would suggest you to run the ‘System maintenance’ troubleshooter which can automatically scan and perform the required maintenance tasks, and also fix any incorrect settings that could be causing issues. Refer to these steps to run this troubleshooter:

a)      Press Windows key +F to bring up the search Charms bar.

b)      Select settings in the drop down menu below search and type Troubleshooting.

c)       Click on Troubleshooting and select the view all option on the left pane.

d)      Click on System maintenance troubleshooter and follow the prompts.

 

I would also suggest you to make sure that you have installed the latest graphic card driver from the manufacturer’s website to make sure that the driver is not causing any issue or memory leak.

 

If the issue persists, I would suggest you to check the Event viewer logs for error logs around recent date and time when you got this error to find out the root cause of this issue. Refer to these steps:

 

a)      Go to the Start Screen, type in Event Viewer. This will bring up the Event Viewer tile, Click to open the event viewer.

b)      In the left pane, expand out Windows Logs. Click on Application log and highlight the first event in the log and use your arrow keys to scroll down.

c)       Most of your event will be Information. You may see Yellow Warnings or Red Errors. If you see any red error, you can double click on it to bring it up and copy the contents in your reply.

^^ we have done, and more and more people are reporting the same issue, so what are YOU doing to fix it? Aside from posting copy&paste responses?

Thanks for finding the root of the problem :)

But I'm curious about those memory commits, what are they?
