the most annoying thing about this is I have sat at my computer letting windows idle with almost all background apps closed, while watching TV, and out of the corner of my eye, see windows BSOD on me. it does not occur when I don't have the SD card plugged
in.
last night after another BSOD, I unselected the 'dedicate this drive to readyboost' option and ran "chkdsk /f /r /b f:" it came back with some strange messages im not used to seeing from chkdsk, after that, I did a quick format by doing a "format f: /fs:ntfs
/q"
various chkdsk commands repeatedly turned up errors and no errors. I am going to try switching the FS to ExFAT top see if the chkdsk errors and bsod's still occur
UPDATE :
switching the card to ExFAT seems to have stopped the seemingly random results I was getting from chkdsk.
I wonder if this will solve the BSOD's too
having the card inserted but not confiigured for readyboost does not seem to trigger the bsod's I have been having. only when readyboost is activated will the system bsod on me suddenly
