How to install Apps in SD Card in Windows 8.1 ?

May I know whether is there any way to enable us to install windows store apps into the micro SD card, since my 16GB Dell Tablet is running out of memory. I am using Windows 8.1 (Not RT) ?

Hi Yaman,

By default Windows Store apps will be saved in the following location.

C:\Program Files\WindowsApps

Hence, it is not possible to move Windows Store apps to SD card.

I would suggest you to delete the unnecessary files from the computer and check if it improves in memory.

You may also get in touch with the manufacturer to increase the memory.

    I just bought the same Dell. When I got it the HD had only 3.2GB of free space, so I inserted a 32GB card. I'd like to be able to have my Apps download & install to the card, not my HD. I also have a USB cable that can connect into same connection as the power & I've attach a small portable HD, 1TB, (OK, not that small) to back up my tablet. But not being able to tell it where to place my Apps, is frustrating. My one complaint on this tablet.

    MS what do we need to do to fix this?  The problem is not going to go away by ignoring it.  There are to many requesting for an SD feature to be added.  Can we do that please?

    Please remember, in the past we always had access to move stuff around in file system with any OS (95, 98, ME, Etc.) with the expectation of hive data, but always applications and there install location.  This is no different in the Metro UI.

    Please give back the control of what we always had.

    Actually that stupid and short aided since a hard drive can extended, Windows phone 8.1 allows apps to be move to the phone's SD cars.

    Good/bad news ... this feature has seen on latest leak of Windows 10 TP 9901!

    So we have to wait 6-9 months (this is the bad news)
