How to install Apps in SD Card in Windows 8.1 ?

It seems very counter productive to not have this option available. Specially that most tablets with windows have very little storage space left out of the box. Microsoft has to make it easier for windows tablet owners to change default storage locations for pictures videos music and apps the same way it is available on windows phone 8.1 you shouldn't have to go through 5 steps to move picture library from device to SD card the process has to be more streamlined for the regular folks too.

May I know whether is there any way to enable us to install windows store apps into the micro SD card, since my 16GB Dell Tablet is running out of memory. I am using Windows 8.1 (Not RT) ?

This is such a maddening issue. I hardly have any apps on my tablet, had to uninstall almost everything.  AND the only way I am able to use my tablet now is to turn OFF the windows updates.  That's what used up all the memory.  

I now run diskclean a couple of times a week, and don't allow windows updates. I may look at the most critical ones and consider them individually, but if i let all updates run, the tablet is toast in no time. I had to reset to factory settings and start from scratch, turn off auto win updates and limit my apps.  Not fun at all.  Not that there are many decent win 8 apps at this point. I do love win 8, and this tab, but so terribly limiting and a terrible disappointment as is. 

If you don't come up with a fix for this, i will NEVER buy another DELL machine, either pc, laptop or tab.  I have a 32gb sd card on here but can't get a thing to move to it.  

If a 32GB can't run win 8.1 THEN DON'T SELL IT!

Yep, tried this myself and it didn't work; in fact it did more damage than good. I get different error almost nearly all the time when I try to install an app from the store. It was even impossible to reinstall old apps when you uninstall them after using the procedure above.

It was so annoying that I just went ahead and restore my tablet back to the factory settings. Until Microsoft decides to start listening to us, its consumers, I might be saying goodbye to Windows 8 soon. As much as I really want this to work (it's my portability dream), it's not looking good for Windows 8; might have to go the Android route (besides, most of the apps I need, are available on Android's Playstore). Just going to miss the fully functionality of a PC at my fingertips -- as you probably can tell I do not fancy the idea of lugging a laptop/Netbook (even if it's a "10" or 11") all over. Oh well...

Because you can do all of this on the more open iPad architecture?  I want the feature too, but my iPad doesn't even support a micro SD card let alone controlling the install location.

Just because the popular kid is doing something retarded does not make it ok for you to do the same thing. Windows didn't do this before and Android is not doing this. Why compare yourself to iPad? AFAIK, android tablet is starting to eat iPad's lunch, just like Android phone to iPhone.

Maybe MS want to sell more 128GB device than 32GB, but it's really not a good idea for the Win8 tablets.
