How to install Apps in SD Card in Windows 8.1 ?

May I know whether is there any way to enable us to install windows store apps into the micro SD card, since my 16GB Dell Tablet is running out of memory. I am using Windows 8.1 (Not RT) ?

Hi Yaman,

By default Windows Store apps will be saved in the following location.

C:\Program Files\WindowsApps

Hence, it is not possible to move Windows Store apps to SD card.

I would suggest you to delete the unnecessary files from the computer and check if it improves in memory.

You may also get in touch with the manufacturer to increase the memory.

    What is this you say?  Is this a legitimate work-around to the "can't-install-Metro-Apps-on-SD-card" limitation?  Please add some detail to help a newbie like me understand.

    Hear, hear!  This is frustrating nonesense.  I suppose it forces customers to buy tablets with larger SSDs, but why?  This limitation is going to drive budget-conscious people away from Windows tablets to Android devices.  And those who are not budget-conscious are already going for iPads, anyway, so why alienate customers? I was on the verge of purchasing an Asus Vivotab Note 8, but the 32 GB edition is not going to have room for anything on it!  The 64 GB edition costs $120 more!  For 32 more gigs on the SSD?!?!  I think I'll buy a Galaxy, thank you very much!

    I just bought a windows 8.1 tablet with 32gb of storage and I cannot even extend my storage! Windows 8.1 is a joke. No wonder you guys are rushing to bring out windows 10

    You are a ****. This operation, change directory c: to d: (SD Card) is possible using Junction.exe.
