Re my last post, the problem stems from the fact that I did a search for qmgr.dll and it is only in my CWindows\sysem32 file. It is not in the ServicePackFile folder or the system32\bits folder.

I am running XP SP3, and when I go to the Windows update site and check for express updates, the green progress bard starts and just keeps going with no end result. I downloaded the Fixit Tool and it quoted the error code as above. How can I rectify this please?

2013-11-22T07:32:59+00:00 Ok. Those updates are not there because that is what my problem is. I haven't been able to receive updates since I have had this problem. But I think I may havea solution. You asked me to change the source of the files needed for copying to C\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386. Well, I thought it may be a good idea to have a look at that file to see what was in it, and the only item in it was a Fax Cover Editor! So, maybe, if you could tell me which files should be copied, I can have a look and see where they reside. And I have now recovered BITS.

Look, this problem has only occurred during the last month, before that the updates were working perfectly, so i can't understand why this has happened on all my computers. Anyway, I have to have a break from it for now. It's 10:15 pm here, so I'll leave it till tomorow now. Thanks for the help.
