Update KB2862330 repeatedly fails to install on Windows 7.

For @Zimmerframe only regarding Windows XP SP3 on your computer only, and only and where your keyboard and mouse still work after this awful Microsoft Update.
First ensure that you have a backup of the data on your computer. No two Microsoft Windows computers are the same.
Go to "Add/Remove Programs" and remove KB2862330 but if you are offered interlocking updates do not select "reboot now" but remove each interlocking update in turn until you finally click on "reboot now". Write down each update which you remove on a piece of paper (do not rely on a Microsoft Windows computer for this taxing task).
After the reboot, go to "Windows Update" and "Check for Updates" and then Hide every update which you removed. One more reboot and you should have control of your computer.
Keep monitoring the KB2862330 threads in the event that Microsoft eventually release a fix for this worldwide "catastrophe". I got that emotive word from our friends in France:
I could have quoted similar emotive word from virtually every Country on the planet.
Note that this thread concerns a Win7 computer, not a WinXP computer. That being said...

Hi I am running windows XP operating system and I am experiencing the same problems. Any chance we could have a patch to fix this problem? I am a non techie person and dont need the expense of having to call out a techie!
The post you replied to contains a partial list of the symptoms you can see with KB2862330 depending on the exact version of your Operating System, your USB hardware and your USB driver software.
Certain models of Dell and Toshiba computers are reportedly "bricked". However there are reports of people booting from recovery media and removing the bad patch with a manual batch file.
Others report USB devices stop working or BSOD when using USB devices. Some have connected PS2 keyboard and mouse to get into their system to remove KB2862330 and any linked USB-related updates.
The action you take depends on whether KB2862330 installed and then keeps wanting to install again, or whether it tries to install and either hangs or fails, or whether it installed and made your computer unstable or unusable.
Whatever you do, resist the temptatation to run Microsoft System Restore unless advised so by a Mcirosoft Technician.
Suggest you open a new thread mentioning KB2862330, your Operating System version, your symptoms and the make and model of your computer.
