Yesterday's Patch Tuesday (1/14/14) I got the "revised" KB2862330 update. It was no different than the original. The same damn thing. It produced the same BSOD STOP 0X000000CA after restart that I got before...
It would appear that the OP of this thread (i.e., EJM888) never mentioned a STOP 0X000000CA error so maybe you should begin your own, new thread about your computer & problem?
Or perhaps you'd like to contact my colleague Susan for further assistance?
Hello PA Bear, you left out the rest of my words after you wrote "..."
The rest of my words:
"...Had to do a disk image restore and again disable the USB driver that was causing it (hcmon.sys) and only then did it install successfully. And like before, the PC restarted two times."
I solved the problem, the exact problem I previously reported at the beginning of this thread (see my post on page 1, post 5) regarding KB2862330 and
the STOP 0X000000CA BSOD after restart, and my solution on 10/14/2013 (see my post on page 9, post 8 for details).
No need begin my own, new thread or contact Ms. Susan for further assistance. I appreciate you trying to help me though.
This business with KB2862330 is
still plaguing others. The correct Answer that should be listed at the top of this thread is:
Disable your USB drivers before you apply this update. Then afterwards, re-enable them.
