Update KB2862330 repeatedly fails to install on Windows 7.

Based on the KB article for the Update you are trying to install, it requires Windows 7 SP1 (Service Pack 1) on the computer.
Do you have Service Pack 1 installed on the computer?
To determine if you have Windows 7 Service Pack 1 installed on the computer check this link:

If you don't have Windows 7 Service Pack 1 installed on the computer, install the same from the link provided below.
Learn how to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)
Once you install the Service Pack 1 then try to install the Update manually and check if the issue occurs.

Oh good, I'm not the only one having that problem. With me the patch appears to install, but when I reboot my computer the patch stalls out at 35%. The only thing I can do after it stalls is push the power button and then let the system revert back. This is really getting tiring having Microsoft push out bad updates during their patch cycle.
what is the computer model, is it x64 bit or x86 bit?
Same issue on Windows 2008R2. 2862330 causes "please wait for modules installer" after reboot for quite a long while then "Failure configuring windows updates reverting changes" (At least it did when I installed them all.. it is sitting on the "please wait" right now with the single install as I was going through them one at a time. Hopefully it will "revert" OK once again.)
Downloading from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40507 and
running it gave me the message that the update wasn't needed on my computer??
