OneDrive is temporarily unavailable - Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8CCCD052

In response to Firedog, none of the options in the drop down window to the site you've directed us to is applicable to the problem we're experiencing. As a Moderator can't you flag this problem to the relevant people within Microsoft to get this problem fixed? I've clicked on the 'me too' vote page btw.

I wonder if Microsoft can see or monitor this thread ...

There is an eform to request re-opening of a blocked OneDrive. If everyone affected by this fault (which appears to be at the OneDrive end) submits a form, the support staff will become aware of the extent of the problem and can press for a solution. So please, everyone visit this page and submit a properly completed form: OneDrive Account Activation

You could also visit this thread and click Me too; Microsoft staff often patrol the OneDrive forum, but never this one. The more Me too votes, the greater the attention the question gets.

PS: If MS have difficulty finding the source of the error, they might want to see log files for affected users. It might be helpful, then, if you enable logging so that log files can be submitted quickly for analysis.

• To enable logging, while viewing your message list press Ctrl-Shift-O for Options. On the Advanced tab, click Maintenance, then select all the troubleshooting boxes at the bottom of the page.
• The log file is called WindowsLiveMail.log and it lives in the root of the store folder. To find your store folder, click Store folder on the same Maintenance page. Copy the path given, paste it into the start search box and press Enter.

I wonder if Microsoft can see or monitor this thread if they do it would be good to have someone official to comment Yeah right Bury their head in the sand and hope it goes away.

Yes and I found someone asking the exact same question/having exactly the same problem on the community forum on the Windows help line in Oct. 2011 (unfortunately the reply just directed them towards Windows Helpline pages that are no longer available). So you'd think they maybe should have a few clues how to fix it.
