'October 2013 Update For Root Certificate for Windows XP ' KB 931125 Installed

Hello.

I am running Windows XP Prof with IE8.

Every morning, I manually check Windows Update for 'Express' and 'Custom' updates.

This morning (Mon Mat 17/14), when I checked 'Custom' updates, there was an ''Nov 2013 Update For Root Certificate for Windows XP ' KB 931125 update.

I downloaded and installed it but this seemed odd since this update was released 4 months ago.

Why was it offered again for the first time today? No other 'earlier' root certificate updates have been offered.

    Shopper,

    If Defraggler doesn't appear in Add/Remove Programs, you can run this Fixit to uninstall it.

    I ran the 'Fix-It Tool' but Piriform Defraggler (or just Defraggler) was not displayed in the list so I chose 'Not listed' and clicked 'Next' and it asked me for a Product Code (which I would not know) and would not allow me to continue without it.

    Why do the developers make it so difficult to remove their software?

    Can I remove the Fix-It icon from the desktop-Would it have placed itself anywhere else that needs to be deleted?

    Run the Fixit manually Shopper, not automatically. You can still choose "Not listed", but it should give you more options.

    The Fixit doesn''t run on Windows 8.1 so I can't run it myself to see what you're seeing unfortunately, and I don't have a Windows XP machine anymore.

    I 'ran' the Fix-it tool, chose 'Detect Problems and Apply Fixes For me-Recommended,' it asked if I was having issues with installing/uninstalling, I chose uninstalling, it brought up a list of programs, including 'Not Listed' so I chose that then it asked for a Product Code and to press 'Next'-I could not get beyond that without a Product Code.

    Is there anything you can click when you see the question about a Product Code? Any choices at all you can make? Is there a field where you can type something in?

    Maybe try right click Defraggler, go to Properties and then check the available tabs for mention of a "Product code".
