'October 2013 Update For Root Certificate for Windows XP ' KB 931125 Installed

Hello.

I am running Windows XP Prof with IE8.

Every morning, I manually check Windows Update for 'Express' and 'Custom' updates.

This morning (Mon Mat 17/14), when I checked 'Custom' updates, there was an ''Nov 2013 Update For Root Certificate for Windows XP ' KB 931125 update.

I downloaded and installed it but this seemed odd since this update was released 4 months ago.

Why was it offered again for the first time today? No other 'earlier' root certificate updates have been offered.

    I already marked two posts as answered but I cannot tell which ones they were-Do you know?

    I probably should have mentioned a while ago that I am a 65 year old grandmother-I assume that many of you wrongly believed that I was a man in my early 20s.

    Your gender or your age is of no consequence if you have a problem with your computer. We'll do our best to help you in that situation.

    But it's when trivial questions are forthcoming like whether you machine is still connected to the Internet after you shutdown which tends to rile people. Common sense should provide the answer to that.

    But anyway, I wish you live a long and fruitful life.

    So you are female? And yet your "friend" refers to you as "he" more than once in a post on this page...
